Welcome! You are about to register for the pre-discharge bankruptcy education course. CCCS of NEPA is approved to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s services. The Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST) has reviewed CCCS of Northeastern PA’s instructional course and its services as a Bankruptcy Pre-Filing and Pre-Discharge credit counseling provider. EOUST has neither reviewed nor approved any other services CCCS provides to consumers. CCCS may disclose debtor information to the United States Trustee in connection with the United States Trustee’s oversight of the agency, or during the course of an investigation of complaints, during on-site visits, or during quality of service reviews.
Registration requirements: Each student will need an individual email address to enroll in the course. You will also need your Bankruptcy Case Number to complete registration. The Bankruptcy Case number will be provided on your court documents.
Fee Waiver Policy: Payment must be made by debit or credit card. The cost of the course is $25.00. We will offer a reduction in fee or waiver of fee if your income is under 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please call us at (866) 699-2227 to receive a voucher after verification of income has been established. If you are being represented pro-bono by your area Legal Services or an attorney, your fee for this course will be waived. You should contact CCCS of Northeastern PA, Inc. to determine eligibility. We will not deny counseling to any client if they can demonstrate an inability to pay, due to income level or financial hardship.
Verification Requirements: Prior to receiving their certificate of completion, the student will be required to submit verification of identity via email to info@advantageccs.org, fax (412) 390-1335, or physically mail to Advantage Credit Counseling Service, Inc. 2403 Sidney Street, Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Examples of valid ID are: State issued Driver’s License/State ID card or Passport.
Certification: By entering your name and last four (4) digits of your State ID, you certify that you will personally complete the education course. You understand that if you fail to comply with the identity requirements, CCCS of Northeastern PA, Inc. is not required to issue a certificate of completion. You understand that in order to receive the certificate, you must complete the course in its entirety. You understand that a counselor may be in personal contact with you if your test scores are less than favorable and that your test scores do not impact your ability to earn a certificate. You understand that knowingly making a false or fraudulent statement or misrepresentation of your identity or completion of this course is a violation of Federal Law.
Receiving your Certificate: Upon completion of the course, we will provide each debtor student with a Certificate of Completion within three (3) business days.
